Description

This print celebrates Mark Cavendish’s legendary record-breaking 35th Tour de France stage win during Stage 5 of the 2024 race, riding for Astana Qazaqstan. High quality Giclée prints produced from original large scale paintings by Paul Letchworth. Inspired by live TV footage, Paul captures the explosive energy of sprint finishes—moments where riders jostle, converge, and blur into a mass of motion and determination. The riders’ forms jigsaw together in the chaos and speed of the race’s climax. Working from stills, his paintings evolve into dynamic abstractions, exploring the tension, speed, and fleeting chaos at the heart of elite cycling. This print measures 42 X 59 CM (A2) and is printed on giclée Innova Fine Art 100% cotton paper.

The original acrylic painting is scanned using a a large format Cruse Flatbed Fine Art Scanner. Each high quality giclée print has been individually printed using Canons 12 colour, Lucia Pro pigment inks by InkyWells and is printed on high quality papers. The scan is then matched to the painting until I am happy to print. I am involved in the print process to be sure of the highest quality. The price includes postage in postal tube to UK.
