Tour of Britain “Up Michaelgate” official poster 2026

Using his GoPro footage from the men’s race, this ongoing series takes on a playful, abstract quality, with the artist focusing on finding shapes and subtle suggestions of bikes, legs, components, and their riders, all while employing a restricted colour palette. The Tour of Britain jersey winner colours feature in the painting with the cathedral and spectators in evidence.  Both the spectacle and the physical battle of the race are central to Paul’s interest. The poster has the official branding of the Tour of Britain and dates and location of the first stage of the 2026 Tour of Britain race. A3 versions of this poster awarded to the jersey winners on the podium.

The poster print featured as one of the prizes for individual riders on the Tour of Britain podium. This official Tour of Britain print, complete with logo can be ordered as A2 and A3 or as an art print with no lettering and printed on Innova Giclee Fine Art 100% cotton paper and is from a large format scan. 

Each high quality giclée print has been individually printed using Canons 12 colour, Lucia Pro pigment inks by InkyWells and is printed on high quality cotton paper with a small white border.  I am involved in the print process to be sure of the highest quality.
